Jake Lowenstein was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Balletmet Columbus. He attended summer programs on full scholarships at Houston Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Jake trained on full scholarship for two years in the professional division at Pacific Northwest Ballet. While at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Jake had the opportunity to perform with the company as a Shark in Jerome Robbins West Side Story. He also trained for one year on full scholarship with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater Graduate Program. He spent the last three seasons as a company member with Ballet Idaho. While there Jake performed a wide variety of contemporary and classical ballets. Jake is happy to be returning to The Lexington Ballet for his second season. While with the company he has performed the roles of Hilarion in Giselle, Cavalier in The Nutcracker and Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Jake also teaches Ballet and Tap at The Lexington Ballet and Legacy Allsports.
